What has been indicated about graduate programs and teaching antiracism?

Graduate programs are increasingly being called upon to include antiracism in their curricula as a response to growing awareness of systemic racism and the need for culturally competent practitioners. However, the literature indicates that while there is recognition of the importance of antiracism education, there remains a limited amount of literature specifically addressing how graduate programs implement such training. This gap suggests that while there might be encouragement towards inclusion of antiracism efforts, the breadth of material and research available on how effectively these programs are being integrated into graduate education continues to be sparse. Consequently, the focus on expanding knowledge and resources around antiracism in graduate programs highlights a critical area for future development in multicultural counseling and education.
